Employer Code of Conduct

1. Introduction

This Code of Conduct sets out the responsibilities of all employers using the platform. By creating a business profile, you agree to follow these rules and use the platform in a lawful, respectful, and responsible way.

By using this platform, you consent to the collection, use, and sharing of your information as described in this Policy.

2. Eligibility

  • Only businesses that are members of the Tourism Industry Association of the Yukon (TIAY) or approved partner organizations may access candidate profiles.
  • Businesses must provide valid proof of registration or licensing (e.g., YCOR registration, municipal license, or equivalent for out-of-territory businesses).

3. Proper Use of Candidate Information

Employers must:

  • Use candidate information only for the purpose of recruitment and hiring.
  • Treat all candidate data as confidential.
  • Store candidate information securely and limit access to authorized staff.
  • Not resell, distribute, or otherwise misuse candidate information.

4. Respectful Conduct

Employers must:

  • Treat candidates fairly and without discrimination.
  • Refrain from harassment, exploitation, or misuse of the platform.
  • Comply with the Yukon Human Rights Act and other applicable labour and privacy laws.

5. Prohibited Activities

Employers may not:

  • Create fake accounts or provide false business information.
  • Attempt to scrape or mass-download candidate data.
  • Use the platform for any purpose other than legitimate hiring.

6. Accountability and Enforcement

  • TIAY may suspend or revoke access for any employer who violates this Code.
  • Misuse of candidate data may also be reported to regulatory or legal authorities.
